Project: Next~

So, still trying to find a replacement for the broken part on the Stein..  In other news, two new projects on the horizon, the first showed up today:

Visiting the parents for the holidays, and terrible weather means I have plenty of time to cut, sand, and figure out a paint scheme!

Sinanju Stein - Part 4

Just a quick update -- here's the completed bazooka.  It took a lot longer to get it done than expected..  The white barrel was too thick when it was originally painted so I had to remove the paint, reapply it, sand down the part it slid into, and then it worked out.  The missiles (which you can't see in this image) also took forever.  The red paint just kept coming off when I tried to mask it, so it led to having to resort to hand painting after stripping the paint and starting over.  That said, I didn't realize the end of the bazooka also moves, so whenever that moves, it does scrape a little..  I imagine this will just be a display piece though, so I'm ok with how it is~

Sinanju Stein - Part 3

A few more parts came together this week.  Cut and sanded the remaining parts of the shield and Armed Armor DE, primed and started painting the rifle, and started working on some of the outer armor.  The gun is going to take 3 or 4 colors, so hoping I can get that started this week.  I've started planning the colors for the outer frame parts, but most of them still have to be cut, sanded, and primed before I can get started on all that.

Sinanju Stein - Part 2

Been slowly coming together, so here's some shots of the work so far.  Don't have a shot of the eyes post touch up, but I'm really happy with how they turned out.  I wasn't sure at first about the green, but they ended up looking really good with the black.

Summer Project

So I haven't used this journal in a while -- still doing game reviews for BG though. Figured I'd use this site for something new. Gonna try to do a better job than I've done in the past of keeping track of my progress on this project. This came in the other day, started working on it now~

Armed Armor DE still hasn't come in, but hopefully it'll arrive before I finish working on the inner frame.
